"Memento" is a work about a critical mass of events that occurred within a specific period of time—events that become a significant stage in life and a turning point, transforming one’s habitual perception of the surrounding world.
A total of 2,684 pigments, contained in multicolored vials, were collected from photographs taken at the turn of 2021−2022 from the artist’s archive. In the process of preparing the work, each image from the archive was manually processed: it was first printed on photographic paper, and then, once dry, the upper pictorial layer was carefully removed with a scalpel. The color pigment obtained from each processed photograph was then placed into a glass vial corresponding to its moment in time.
